Health Survey 2009

Health surveys have been posted out to all members and we have already had a good response so thank you to all who have sent in their surveys so far. If you haven't yet finished completing yours, please could you do this and return it to Cristiana by the end of June. The information provided will be analysed as before and the results published in our Newsletter and 2009 Yearbook.

Champ Show

The new blog worked quite well for dog class results but even though we were updating after every bitch class, the posts were not getting through. This was probably due to the adverse weather conditions, thunder and lightning interfering with our mobile signals. We hope you liked the concept though and we plan to use it again.

Tonight spare a thought for the alfresco campers who are staying tonight, braving the weather and fingers crossed they aren't too wet from the torrential rain during the day and it stays dry for them overnight.

Championship Show Useful Info

We have an entry of 135 dogs, making 160 entries (excluding NFC).

Judging starts at 9.30am. Our judge is Karen James and our Handling judge is Annette Dinsdale.

If you won a trophy at last year's show, please remember to bring it with you or make arrangements for it to be returned.

Gillie Gomarsall will be organising a tombola in aid of Rehome & Rescue so if you have any items that are suitable they would be most welcome. Items can be big or small, edible, drinkable, wearable, for dog adornment or home decoration – in fact anything you can donate will be appreciated and all the money raised will go into Spinone Rehome funds.

Richard Bruce will be selling some newly designed Spinone mugs in aid of Rehome & Rescue. These are sure to be in demand so don't miss out and buy yours early.

The showground postcode is NG24 2NY for those of you travelling with Tom, Sally or whatever you call your satnav.

Have you booked your camping pitch for Saturday and / or Sunday? Apply directly to the showground for this.

Spectator's dogs can attend without being pre-entered, but they must be at least 4 months old and have to be registered at the Secretary's desk. Proceeds from Spectator dog entries will be donated to Research and Rehome.

Spinone Club's New Blog

On Sunday 7th June, we have our Championship show at Newark Showground and sometimes it's difficult to update the website when we are out and about. So we've set up this blog to give us more options and hope that it proves successful in keeping you up to date with the latest news and show results.
